“A Brilliant Afternoon”
Saturday, September 18, 2:00 PM $5
Tiffany & Co. celebrates its 173rd birthday today - let's celebrate! Join select antiques dealers at Way Back Yonder Antiques in Portsmouth for a dazzling look at Tiffany silver antiques. Then we will cross the street to Trinity Episcopal Church to tour their sanctuary containing six Tiffany glass windows.

“A German Oktoberfest”
Saturday, September 25, 6:00 PM $15
Oktoberfest actually begins in September in Germany, so here we go...
The musical duo Up Tempo will provide hand-clapping and foot-tapping music with their cow bells and fiddles at 6 PM, followed by German beer tasting and traditional fare in our "Biergarten."
Beer tasting requires a separate fee.


"China Painting Classes"
Saturday, October 9 & 16, 10:00AM to 1:00 PM $15
Instructors from the China Painters of Tidewater will be in the museum to provide a two session class; participants will choose porcelain items to paint for the holiday season. Beginners are welcome.

"Gone With the Breeze"

"I do declare!" Miss Georgia Peachtree and Miss Sherry Blossom are on the trail of a thief in today's southern mystery tea party. Guests will assume the identity of a variety of southern belles to help solve this crime. Don't be bashful now, ya'll.

"One Foot in the Grave"

"Count your Blessings"

Let us gather together with thanks in our hearts for our many blessings, including the friendships we've made over a cup of tea. This afternoon's tea is accompanied by the beautiful dulcimer played by Martha Giles.


On Saturdays in October, beginning October 2nd, we will fashion the downstairs of the museum into a tea room, open from 11am until 3pm.
Menu:
Cream Tea $7
A pot of hot tea accompanied by scones, cream and jam
Afternoon Tea $15
A traditional afternoon tea featuring a variety of sweets and savories and delicious tea.
Miss Eloise's Afternoon Tea is available in The Shop at the Hunter House Victorian Museum, along with a variety of tea accoutrements.
