Girl Scout Programs

Girls Scouts are our favorite young
guests! The Hunter House Victorian Museum offers
programs for troop visits as well as individual
scout/family visits.
For Brownie Scout troops:
Consider reserving a tour to help you earn your
“Listening to the Past” try it. Your tour will focus on
the lifestyle, heritage and traditions of the late
`800’s.
“A Walk around the Block” gives you the best of
the outside and the inside. Use this program for your
“Artful Architecture” Try it.
For Junior Scout troops:
A tour through the museum will help you with Local Lore,
Toymaker, Arts in the Home and Explore Norfolk.
For all Scouts:
It’s new!!!
“Explore the Hunter House Victorian Museum”
takes you through the museum focusing on the role of
girls and women in the home and in society.
New For Scouts and Their Families:
“Playing In the Past”
Playing inside. The entire family is encouraged to visit
for this special new offering. Tour through the family
home to see and hear how each of the family members
lived. A “playful” activity pack is yours to take home,
paper dolls, coloring books and activity books.
Playing Outside
A self-guided architectural hunt will take you through
the Freemason Historic District. Enjoy the variety of
Victorian housing styles, intricate iron fencing
patterns, cobblestone path. A “ playful’ activity pack
is yours to keep as well.
