The Hunter House Victorian Museum is located at 240 W. Freemason Street in the Historic Freemason District in downtown Norfolk, Virginia.

The museum is open to the general public for touring seasonally April through December

Guided tours:
Wednesday through Saturday from 10:00 AM until 3:30 PM 
Sunday from 12:30 PM until 3:30 PM
Tours begin on the hour and the half hour with the last tour each day beginning at 3:30 PM.
Please allow at least one hour for your guided tour.

The museum is closed on Monday and Tuesday and major holidays. Occasionally, the museum is closed for special events. Please call ahead to be sure we are available for public tours.

General admission:
$5 for adults
$4 for senior citizens 
$1 for children

Group tours for 12 or more guests are available year round with advance reservations. 
Group tour rates are available; please call the museum at 757-623-9814 for details and reservations.

Educational groups and scouting groups are always welcome. Please see the Programs section.

In the effort to protect and preserve the museum’s collection of architecture, decorative arts and furnishings we respectfully request no interior photography, no food or drinks and no strollers. 

At the end of your tour, please plan to visit the Museum Shop. Beautiful stationery, jewelry, and books are available as well as a delightful selection of children’s pastimes and activity books. 

The Hunter House Victorian Museum is located in the Freemason Historic District; the District was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1976. Walking tour brochures are available at the museum. Guided walking tours are offered periodically throughout the season; groups desiring guided tours may make advance reservations through the museum.

While visiting in the Historic District you will be close to several other historic and cultural sites as well as unique eateries and shopping.
